Planning Engineer

Our client is a well established and reputable engineering consultancy firm. The company offers a multi-disciplinary consultancy service to the private and public sector, and has won many large scale projects nationwide. It is involved in the areas Structures, Roads, Rail, Mechanical & Electrical Environment and Commercial Developments.
This particular vacancy is for a Planning Engineer for one of their projects in London. Joining this firm will ensure an exciting and rewarding career within a well established and growing company.

Responsibilities:
• Liaising closely with the site managements
• Setting up and maintenance off Critical path networks, including updating, reporting and implementation of logic and resource changes, as required.
• Set up project calendar Activities and Coding with construction managers
• Prepare subcontract appointment schedule and information schedule in conjunction with construction manager
• Training and mentoring of Junior Staff
• Preparation of required reports for construction managers, record & report actual progress against target
• Monitor subcontract work against programmes, report on subcontract progress to construction managers
• Ensure subcontract programmes are in line with site requirements
• Monitor & report on working programmes revise working programmes where required by construction managers

Requirements:
• Engineering or Building Degree or equivalent
• Must have 7 yrs+ experience
• Ideally with strong Primavera minimum of 3 years experience
• Experience workindg on rail projects would be ideal
• Good understanding of the CDM Regulations
